Gift Certificate Terms

Version 0.1.0 · draft · NO EFFECTIVE DATE SET

No expiration, no fees

A gift certificate from me never expires. There is no dormancy fee, no account-maintenance fee, no fee to cash it out, and no charge of any kind just for holding it unused. Whatever value is on it is still there whenever you, or whoever you gave it to, are ready to use it.

Not reportable as unclaimed property

This certificate is redeemable only with me — it is not part of any marketplace, gift-card network, or group of unrelated businesses. Because it is a single-merchant certificate, Florida law does not require it to ever be turned over or reported to the state as unclaimed property, no matter how long it sits unused.

If you received this as a gift

Whoever purchased this certificate agreed to my Terms of Service at the time they paid. You did not sign anything at that moment, and a gift certificate alone does not bind you to those terms. Before I redeem it at your first appointment, I will show you the terms and ask you to check a box confirming you have read and accept them — the same confirmation any other client gives when booking. Only then do the terms apply to you. The core terms above are also printed on the certificate itself.

Gift certificates are sold through Square as digital ("eGift") certificates, and they may also be used to prepay an online booking. Square's gift cards do not expire by default, and that default is kept as-is — the merchant-configurable expiration option is left OFF. The no-expiration promise and the law described above apply to every certificate I sell, in whatever form.
